Iran's Military Advisor Claims Controlling Strait of Hormuz is 'Legitimate Right' on May 24

GateNews

According to Iranian state media on May 24, Iran's Supreme Leader military advisor Mohsen Rezaei stated that controlling the Strait of Hormuz is Iran's "legitimate right" and warned of a "severe response" to any violations of the Persian Gulf.

Rezaei said Iran's control of the strait aims to prevent military intrusions rather than block free trade. He added that if hostile actions persist, Iran's strategic options include withdrawing from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
