Israel Vows to Continue Operations in Southern Lebanon, Maintains Control of Beaufort Castle on June 4

According to Lebanese national media, Israeli Defense Minister Itamar Ben-Yahya said on June 4 that Israeli forces will continue operating in southern Lebanon's so-called "security zone" and will maintain control of strategic areas, including the recently captured Beaufort Castle. Ben-Yahya stated that Israel, backed by U.S. support, retains operational freedom and will continue dismantling "terrorist infrastructure." He also warned that if Israeli territory is attacked, Israel reserves the right to directly strike Lebanon's capital, Beirut.
