Japan Prepares to Deploy Vessels to Strait of Hormuz Following U.S.-Iran Ceasefire

According to Reuters, Japan is preparing to deploy vessels to the Strait of Hormuz in response to the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement. The Japanese government is considering multiple options, including participation in multilateral operations and provision of mine-clearance equipment.

Deployment will proceed only if comprehensive security assurances are provided for the region.
