According to Japan's Minister of Economic Revitalization Akira Akasawa, Japan and South Korea held an online meeting on May 20 to discuss bilateral industrial and trade policy cooperation. The two nations explored energy security assurance and supply chain resilience initiatives under the "POWERR Asia" framework, championed by Japanese Prime Minister Kishida. Both sides committed to deepening bilateral cooperation moving forward.
