Japan's Defense Ministry Machinery Orders Hit 2.69 Trillion Yen, Tripling in 5 Years

According to Japan's Cabinet Office, the Defense Ministry's machinery manufacturing orders reached approximately 2.69 trillion yen in fiscal 2025, tripling over the past five years and accounting for nearly half of the government's total public procurement orders of 5.53 trillion yen. The surge was driven by increased demand for air-defense missiles and aircraft.
