The sale attracted 45 collectors and spanned 65 rounds of bidding. Sotheby's head of modern collectibles Brahm Wachter stated the auction results "significantly exceeded expectations," reflecting growing demand for artifacts representing the AI era. The jacket was authenticated by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) through image verification and signed by James Spence Authentication, with records confirming Huang wore it at Foxconn's technology event on October 18, 2023.
