According to Report.az, Kazakhstan's government approved strategic digital mining rules on July 23, granting operators 10-year electricity quota rights from energy producers. As a condition for obtaining the quota, enterprises must transfer a portion of their mining output to the national strategic cryptocurrency reserve, managed by the State Investment Company under the National Bank.
Operators seeking to participate must submit applications through the E-licensing database for committee review. If approved, miners must sign agreements with Astana Hub within five working days and conclude electricity purchase contracts with energy suppliers.
