KCGI Asset Management Launches Global EMP Fund, Attracts 10 Billion Korean Won on First Day

According to KCGI Asset Management, the firm launched a global ETF Managed Portfolio (EMP) fund on July 27 that attracted 10 billion Korean won on its first day. The fund invests across global stocks, sector and thematic ETFs using a two-stage momentum strategy to select uptrend assets. The strategy evaluates individual ETF performance trends, ranks by medium-term returns, and eliminates redundant exposure by holding only representative assets among highly correlated ETFs. The company noted that its approach focuses on systematically selecting high-potential ETFs rather than broadly holding multiple ETFs.
