According to Reuters, Kevin Warsh will be sworn in as Federal Reserve Chair on May 22, 2026, succeeding Jerome Powell. U.S. President Trump will hold the inauguration ceremony at the White House. Warsh, 56, previously served as a Federal Reserve governor from 2006 to 2011, when he resigned after opposing the second round of quantitative easing. His first policy committee meeting as chair is scheduled for June 17-18.
