Meta Appoints CMO Alex Schultz as Chief Data Officer; Stock Jumps 11% on Wednesday

According to Axios, Meta Platforms Inc. (META) appointed Chief Marketing Officer Alex Schultz as Chief Data Officer on Wednesday, while promoting Vice President of Consumer Marketing Denise Moreno to CMO. The stock surged more than 11% on Wednesday afternoon. As Chief Data Officer, Schultz will lead Meta's global AI analytics efforts while continuing to oversee infrastructure analytics. Moreno, who helped grow Threads to over 500 million users, will focus on driving product and app success.
