MoneyGram Becomes Validator for Tempo Blockchain to Settle Remittances

According to The Block, MoneyGram, a U.S. cross-border payments company, has become an "anchored remittance validator" for Tempo, a Layer 1 blockchain developed by Stripe and Paradigm. In this role, MoneyGram will validate remittance transactions on the network and integrate stablecoins, including Stripe's offering, for its global fund settlement. Tempo's other enterprise validators include Stripe, Visa, and Zodia Custody. The blockchain, which targets stablecoin transactions and exchanges for use cases including remittances and corporate fund management, launched its mainnet in mid-March and raised $500 million in Series A funding last October.
