Musk Receives FTC Approval to Acquire Mesh Optical Technologies

Musk recently received approval from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to acquire startup Mesh Optical Technologies, which develops optical communication systems for data centers. Mesh is developing optical transceivers that use light signals to transmit and receive information between data centers, offering higher energy efficiency and lower latency compared to existing solutions, according to the company.

Mesh was founded by engineers formerly involved in SpaceX's Starlink laser communication link development.
