Netanyahu Says Israel Not Bound by Lebanon Terms of US-Iran Memo; Trump Criticizes Israeli Tactics on June 18

According to Axios, Netanyahu's advisor stated on Wednesday (June 18) that Israel does not consider itself bound by the Lebanon provisions of the memo with Iran. Netanyahu has told Trump that Israeli forces will not withdraw from southern Lebanon unless Hezbollah disarms.

Trump acknowledged disagreement on Lebanon, stating: "We have a little bit of a difference on the Lebanon situation." He also criticized Israel's military tactics, saying that destroying entire apartment buildings to target individuals is unacceptable.
