Niger's Niamey Airport Attacked, 13 Killed Including 2 Civilians; 22 Attackers Eliminated

According to Niger's Defense Ministry statement, the Diori Hamani International Airport in the capital Niamey and nearby military facilities came under attack on the morning of June 18. The strike left 11 defense and security force personnel and 2 civilians dead, with 4 others wounded. Attackers attempted to breach the airport terminal; security forces responded and eliminated 22 attackers while apprehending approximately 20 suspects. The airport has since resumed normal operations.
