Non-U.S. Dollar Stablecoins Hit $771 Million Supply in April 2026, Market Share Slides to 0.24%

According to CoinDesk, non-U.S. dollar stablecoins reached approximately $771 million in supply by April 2026, but their market share fell to 0.24% from 0.26% in May 2021, with U.S. dollar stablecoins commanding 99.76% of the market. Tokenized U.S. Treasury securities reached $15.4 billion, while non-U.S. tokenized government bonds totaled only $1.4 billion, a roughly 11-fold gap. The disparity reflects deeper liquidity and reserve infrastructure available to U.S. dollar stablecoin issuers compared to non-U.S. counterparts.
