North Korea-Linked Hackers Used AI to Steal ~$600M in Two Crypto Attacks in April

According to blockchain forensics firm TRM Labs, North Korea-linked hacking groups used artificial intelligence to target and exploit cryptocurrency platforms in April, netting approximately $600 million combined. The two attacks, carried out roughly two weeks apart, triggered investor withdrawals from one major platform and caused another to fail. Cybersecurity experts were particularly concerned about the attackers’ use of AI to select targets and design exploits.
