Nvidia to Supply Vera CPUs to Chinese Customers Starting August, Reuters Reports

According to Reuters, citing sources familiar with the matter, Nvidia has notified Chinese customers that its Vera server CPU based on Arm architecture will begin shipping as early as August, with orders already open. Multiple Chinese cloud providers have tested over 300 Vera servers overseas, and at least one major cloud service provider is preparing to place orders. However, initial shipments will be deployed only in overseas data centers, not within China. The move marks Nvidia's attempt to maintain market access in China through server CPUs after its AI GPU business there has faced significant restrictions, with CEO Jensen Huang previously acknowledging that Nvidia's GPU market share in China has dropped to nearly zero.
