Oil Prices Slide 4% as WTI Falls to $99.73, Spot Gold Surges Nearly $30 Today

According to Gate data, oil prices fell sharply today, with WTI crude futures down 4.25% to $99.73 per barrel and Brent crude down 4.05% to $106.77 per barrel. Domestic crude oil contracts also declined, with low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) falling 4% to 5,007 yuan per ton and Shanghai crude (SC) down over 3%.

Spot gold moved in the opposite direction, surging nearly $30 to reach $4,502.89 per ounce.
