OXMIQ Raises $35M Series A Led by Samsung Catalyst Fund to Scale AI Chip Architecture

According to The Economic Times, AI chip startup OXMIQ, founded by former Intel graphics chief Raja Koduri, secured US$35 million in a Series A round co-led by Samsung Catalyst Fund and Fundomo. The Campbell, California-based company will use the funding to commercialize its OxCore graphics processing unit (GPU) architecture, bringing total funding to US$60 million.

OXMIQ licenses OxCore as compute intellectual property for AI chip development, enabling semiconductor companies and AI infrastructure firms to build custom AI chips without developing designs from scratch. The startup aims to complete OxCore by end of 2026 or early 2027, with initial focus on India and Southeast Asia markets.
