Ripple Secures Preliminary CASP License Approval in Luxembourg, Expanding to 75+ Regulatory Licenses

Ripple received preliminary approval for a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license from Luxembourg's financial regulator under the EU's Markets in Crypto Assets framework, according to the company's disclosure. The approval came through a Green Light Letter from the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier, subject to final conditions.

The CASP license would enable Ripple to offer cryptoasset and stablecoin payment services across the 30 countries in the European Economic Area, complementing its existing European Electronic Money Institution license. Ripple Payments has processed more than $100 billion in transaction volume across over 60 markets globally and now holds more than 75 regulatory licenses worldwide.
