Russian Man Kidnapped in Bali, Forced to Surrender Crypto Account After 30 Hours in Captivity

According to Bali Discovery, a 41-year-old Russian man was kidnapped in Bali on July 4 and held captive for approximately 30 hours before being forced to surrender his cryptocurrency account credentials. The man was intercepted while riding his motorcycle by two masked assailants in a black Nissan Serena, then restrained with plastic handcuffs and transported to a two-story house where he was subjected to physical violence including beatings.

The captors coerced him to disclose his crypto account passwords, seized his mobile phones, and used keys obtained from his motorcycle to break into his residence and access additional devices. Early on July 4, the victim was abandoned near Udayana University Hospital in Kuta and received medical treatment. Bali police spokesperson Ariasandy confirmed receipt of the report and stated authorities are conducting a full investigation to apprehend the suspects.
