SBI Holdings Invests in Stablecoin Platform Fasset, Signs Infrastructure MoU in May

According to CoinPost, SBI Holdings made a strategic investment in Fasset, a digital bank specializing in stablecoin payments and cryptocurrency trading, in May 2026. The company's subsidiary SBI Remit signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fasset to jointly develop next-generation international remittance infrastructure based on stablecoin technology.

Fasset operates its proprietary payment network "Own Network" across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, offering stablecoin settlement, remittance, and investment services to over 2 million users across 125 countries and regions. The platform completed a $51 million Series B funding round in the same month, with investors including SBI Group, Bahrain-based Investcorp, and Turkey's Arz Portföy.
