SK Hynix Q2 2026 Operating Profit Expected at 6.04 Trillion Won, Up 61% QoQ but 8% Below Consensus

SK Hynix-15.36%
According to KIS Semicon analyst Minsook Chae, SK Hynix's second-quarter 2026 operating profit is projected at 6.04 trillion Korean won, up 61% quarter-over-quarter and 556% year-over-year, though 8% below market consensus of 6.5 trillion won. The analyst attributed the downward revision to SK Hynix's higher HBM sales mix, lower-than-expected DRAM price increases, and long-term supply agreements stabilizing average selling prices. DRAM ASP growth expectations for Q2 2026 were cut to 28.9% from 50.0% sequentially, while commodity DRAM ASP growth was lowered to 34.2% from 60.6%. Despite these near-term adjustments, Chae expects stable long-term profit growth, with operating profit year-over-year growth rates projected at 419% for 2026, 53% for 2027, and 19% for 2028.
