South Korean AR Optics Startup LetinAR Secures $18.5M Ahead of 2027 IPO

According to TechCrunch, South Korean optical module startup LetinAR secured $18.5 million from Korea Development Bank, Lotte Ventures, and other investors on May 19, ahead of a planned 2027 IPO. The funding brings LetinAR's total capital raised to $41.7 million and will support production scaling for its lens modules used in AI-powered smart glasses. Current customers include Japan's NTT QONOQ Devices and Dynabook, while Swiss AR helmet maker Aegis Rider plans to launch a product using LetinAR's module in 2026.
