South Korea's Trade Official Discusses U.S. Tariff Issues in Washington D.C., July 21–24

According to South Korea's Ministry of Industry and Trade, the country's chief trade negotiator Yeo Han-gu visited Washington D.C. from July 21 to 24 to meet with U.S. administration officials, lawmakers, and business leaders. During the visit, discussions focused on Section 301 tariff investigations and a pending 10% tariff under Section 122 of U.S. trade law. Yeo emphasized that South Korea is among the top U.S. investors and stressed the need for balanced economic relations and cooperation in strategic industries including semiconductors, shipbuilding, and energy.
