Southern Lebanon Sees Intense Cross-Border Clashes Over 48 Hours, UN Reports

According to UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, on June 18, cross-border clashes intensified in southern Lebanon and within UNIFIL's area of operation over the past 48 hours. UN peacekeeping forces monitoring the region detected intense cross-border artillery fire, with most originating from Israeli forces and the remainder from Hezbollah armed groups.

Israeli military forces also conducted multiple violations of Lebanese airspace, and ground military operations continue in the area.
