Spot Gold Rises 0.5% to $4,332 on Tuesday, Platinum Surges 2%

At the New York close on Tuesday (June 16), spot gold rose 0.48% to $4,332.23 per ounce, after climbing throughout the Asia-Pacific session to a daily high of $4,354.88 before pulling back to around $4,313. COMEX gold futures edged up 0.08% to $4,355.20 per ounce.

Spot platinum surged 2.02%, while spot silver held flat at $69.99 per ounce. Spot palladium advanced 0.75%.
