Spot Gold Up 0.89% on Weekly Basis, Copper Gains 1.17% This Week

On Friday (July 24), spot gold closed at $4,052.96 per ounce, rising 0.09% for the day and 0.89% on a weekly basis, with earlier intraday highs near $4,166.05 on July 21-22 followed by a significant pullback on July 23. Spot silver gained 1.08% to $58.2223 per ounce, up 3.99% weekly after peaking at $60.9270 on July 22. COMEX copper futures rose 1.17% to $6.3365 per pound this week, having climbed from July 20-21 with earlier highs around $6.5670. COMEX gold futures gained 0.95% to $4,056.90 per ounce, while spot platinum fell 0.29% to $1,592.60 per ounce.
