According to Jin10, on Monday (July 13), Switzerland and the United Kingdom reached an agreement on an updated free trade accord, concluding negotiations that began over three years ago. The pact builds on a 2023 financial services agreement and covers finance, technology, pharmaceuticals, and legal services sectors.
Bilateral trade between the two nations exceeded 50 billion pounds (approximately 67 billion dollars) last year, with roughly 30 billion pounds from goods trade. Under the agreement, improved market access and reduced administrative barriers are expected to generate an additional 5.2 billion pounds in annual services trade long term.
