According to Yahoo Finance and Bloomberg data, the "Magnificent Seven" tech stocks—including Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Alphabet, Nvidia, Tesla, and Meta—lost a combined $797 billion in market value on July 23, marking their worst single trading day since the tariff-driven market selloff in April 2025. Alphabet and Tesla led the decline following second-quarter earnings releases, with Tesla shares plunging 14% and erasing about $200 billion in market cap, while Alphabet fell 7% on concerns over surging artificial intelligence infrastructure capital expenditures despite strong revenue growth.
