Tether Co-Founder Reeve Collins Launches STBL Protocol with Dual-Token Structure to Enable Stablecoin Yield

STBL1.31%
According to PANews on June 21, Tether co-founder Reeve Collins unveiled STBL, a new stablecoin protocol addressing structural flaws in current stablecoins. Collins pointed out that current models retain all yield from underlying assets (currently 3-4% from U.S. Treasury holdings) for issuers while users receive only payment convenience. STBL uses a dual-token structure separating payment tokens from yield-bearing tokens, allowing users to automatically accumulate returns. The protocol also enables banks, brands, and sports teams to issue their own stablecoins with customizable asset backing and revenue-sharing rules.
