Tether Invests $20 Million in Argentinian Digital Bank Ualá

According to ChainCatcher, Tether invested $20 million in Ualá, an Argentinian digital bank, as part of a $197 million funding round that valued the company at $3.2 billion. The funding was led by Allianz X starting in March 2026, with participation from Stone Ridge Holdings Group, Tencent, Soros Fund Management, and D1 Capital Partners. Ualá provides banking, payments, credit, and investment products to over 11 million users across Latin America, holding licenses in Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia.
