According to financial disclosures reviewed by Reuters, U.S. President Trump earned over $1.4 billion from family crypto projects including World Liberty Financial and Trump meme coin last year. Financial filings submitted to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics showed his stock and bond portfolio grew at least threefold following the crypto inflows, reaching $703 million to $2.6 billion by end of 2025, compared to $225 million to $608 million at end of 2024.

Harvard Kennedy School digital assets policy director Timothy Massad noted that despite Trump's public positioning of crypto as the financial frontier, his personal strategy appears focused on converting meme coin and World Liberty Financial token sales into profits, then reinvesting in traditional assets like stocks and bonds rather than holding crypto as primary wealth storage.
