Twelve Labs Raises $100M in Series B Funding on July 2, Led by NEA and Naver Ventures

According to BlockBeats, Twelve Labs is raising $100 million in Series B funding on July 2 from investors including Amazon, NEA, and Naver Ventures. The round is co-led by NEA and Naver Ventures, with participation from Radical Ventures, Index Ventures, and Korea Investment Partners.

Simultaneously, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with Twelve Labs to use its custom-built Trainium chips to support AI model workloads, with plans to launch new models on the AWS platform for developers to build AI applications. Twelve Labs, founded by Korean-American engineers and headquartered in San Francisco, specializes in developing AI models that can understand and retrieve video content, making massive video archives searchable and analyzable.
