Ubuntu Tribe Hosts Event at Africa CEO Forum 2026 to Discuss Tokenization and Shared Ownership

Ubuntu Tribe hosted a private event during the Africa CEO Forum 2026 on May 14-15 in Kigali to examine trust, capital flows, and shared ownership in Africa's economic development. The invitation-only gathering brought together more than 100 investors, institutional representatives, and business decision-makers to discuss structural transformation in African markets.

The forum convened more than 2,500 participants from over 90 countries, including heads of state, policymakers, and institutional investors. Ubuntu Tribe's flagship product, GIFT Gold, enables fractional physical gold purchases at milligram scale through a mobile platform. The company highlighted that tokenization technologies could help address resource leakage from Africa, noting that an estimated 435 tonnes of gold were smuggled from the continent in 2022, representing over 10% of global gold production that year.
