UK 10-Year Gilt Yield Falls to 4.750%, Down 5.5 Basis Points on June 17

According to Tradeweb data, the UK 10-year gilt yield fell to 4.750% on June 17, down 5.5 basis points. The decline comes after inflation data came in below expectations, pushing the yield to a two-month low of 4.734% earlier in the day. HSBC's UK rates strategist Daniela Russell expects the yield to continue falling in coming months as inflation concerns ease, with a target of 4.50% by year-end 2026.
