According to a joint statement on July 3, the UK and France announced that Oman has agreed to cooperate with both nations to ensure maritime security in its territorial waters. The UK and France said they are prepared to deploy larger-scale multilateral military operations to maintain freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
