U.S. and NATO Discuss Expanding Nuclear Weapons Deployment to Poland and Baltic States

According to Euronews, the U.S. and NATO officials discussed on June 2 expanding nuclear weapons deployment to additional European countries beyond the current six NATO members participating in the nuclear-sharing program. Poland and some Baltic states have shown interest in hosting dual-capable aircraft (DCA) bases for U.S. nuclear bombs, according to the report. The discussions remain highly classified, and any formal agreement on nuclear-sharing expansion is expected to take considerable time.
