U.S. Military Conducts Seventh Consecutive Day of Airstrikes on Iran; Naval Blockade Enforced

According to U.S. Central Command, the U.S. military conducted airstrikes on Iran on July 17 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time, marking the seventh consecutive day of operations aimed at degrading Iranian military capabilities. The U.S. has also been enforcing a naval blockade on Iran, during which American forces diverted the routes of four commercial vessels, neutralized one vessel, and boarded one vessel for inspection within the first three days of the blockade resumption.

In response, Iran's military announced it struck an American naval vessel in the North Indian Ocean using a cruise missile, according to Iran's state broadcaster IRIB.
