U.S. New Home Sales Rise 1.6% in June to 628,000 Units as Median Price Falls to $398.3K

According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, new home sales in June rose to 628,000 units on an annualized basis, up 1.6% from May but down 5.6% year-over-year. The median sales price fell to $398,300, down 3.3% month-over-month and 2.7% year-over-year, while the average price dropped to $475,400, down 9.5% from May. New home inventory stood at 485,000 units at month-end, representing a 9.3-month supply.
