U.S. Refineries Ramp Capacity to 92% Amid Iran War Energy Supply Disruption

GateNews

According to Jin10 data, U.S. refineries are accelerating fuel production to fill supply gaps in gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel, as the Iran war disrupts Persian Gulf energy supplies. Refinery utilization rates have climbed over three consecutive weeks and now stand near 92%, per U.S. Energy Information Administration data.

Gasoline output has touched a nine-month high, while jet fuel production has reached its highest level since summer 2024, as reduced spare crude supplies in Europe and delayed post-war infrastructure recovery in the Middle East drive up refining margins.
