According to the Wall Street Journal and U.S. Central Command on May 26, the media outlet corrected its previous reporting, which had incorrectly characterized a U.S. Navy-guided escort of a Greek-flagged supertanker carrying 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Oman as a renewed push of 'Operation Prosperity Guardian.' A Central Command spokesperson clarified that the United States has not resumed the operation, and prior reports of its reactivation were inaccurate.
