Wealthsimple Partners with Kalshi to Launch Prediction Market in Canada with 4,000 Contracts

According to BlockBeats, on June 18, Wealthsimple Inc. and prediction market platform Kalshi launched Wealthsimple Predict, an independent app enabling Canadian users to trade on real-world events. The platform will offer roughly 4,000 contracts, with launch planned for later this summer.

Available contracts will be limited to CIRO-compliant categories, including economic indicators, financial markets, and climate events. Sports and election-related contracts are excluded. Additionally, Wealthsimple Predict will only offer event contracts with durations of 30 days or longer.
