Woori Financial Group Opens 1.6 Trillion Won Financial Town in South Korea on July 29

According to Yonhapinfomax, Woori Financial Group opened Woori WON Financial Town in Jeonbuk Innovation City on July 29, consolidating asset management, banking, microfinance, and social contribution operations. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Woori Financial Group Chairman Lim Jong-ryong, National Pension Service (NPS) Director General Kim Sung-joo, Jeonbuk Governor Lee Won-taek, and other regional officials. Woori subsidiary companies will strengthen capital market operations and pension fund services while supporting regional SMEs and startups. The group has invested 186 billion won through June 2026 and plans to supply approximately 1.6 trillion won in corporate financing to the Jeonbuk region by 2030.
