Zoox Unveils New Robotaxi Without Steering Wheel or Pedals on June 25

According to its official announcement, Amazon-owned Zoox unveiled a new robotaxi on June 25 with no steering wheel or pedals, marking the next evolution of its autonomous vehicle product ahead of expanded commercial rollout and paid services later this year. The updated vehicle features a higher-resolution touchscreen, improved seats with headrests, enhanced bidirectional reflectors for better night visibility, and redesigned interior space to help passengers locate lost items. Zoox noted the production-intent vehicle will gradually integrate into its existing fleet in coming months, with manufacturing capacity at its San Francisco Bay Area facility ramping up to support future nationwide expansion.
