Why have Pendle quarterly fees dropped so much?
I wanted to take a look at $PENDLE economics after seeing @TheDeFinvestor's post that their emmissions dropped 76% and that they started buybacks
However, with $3-5M quarterly fees (not profit) on a ~$500M FDV token, I don't see myself entering a spot position here

People complaining about how hard it is to earn Variational points are going to get a wicked surprise once API trading goes live
Variational has managed to scale to $1B in daily volumes/OI without any API trading
Once APIs are out, we'll see the likes of TreadFi, Arbital, etc all integrate Variational and users will light their money on fire to try and stack points
You're not early, but it's not too late (yet)

Very off-topic to my usual content but I saw that the Hinge founder just raised $18M for his new startup called Overtone
Overtone focuses on AI matchmaking without creating social profiles that people swipe through
Breaking into the dating app market is one of the most diffuclt markets as it's very tough (near impossible) to get to the size where you have enough real users to interact with each other
Prior to Overtone, we've seen new companies like Ditto do an AI-matchmaking idea and, sadly, I think with a company like Overtone having Match Group support and McLeod as the founder, these other

Variational points just dropped for the week
Unfortunately, I earned half of the points I earned in the prior week although I pushed more volume
My lesson for points at the moment is that OI and hold time is +EV, don't just wash trade
The RWA competition however was a nice added bonus of ~6 pts which is a free $120 at current point prices (imo we go higher)

Variational just released 20,000 points for the trading competition participants
Got 6 points for ranking in the top 10%, nothing crazy but it's a free $120 (at current point prices) on top of the points drop that will be coming for this week
Overall, it was +EV to participate as you get free points on top of the points you are already earning from your trades

Got 26 points on Variational last week for ~800k volume (mainly RWAs)
At ~$20 per point that's over $500 for a week of trading. However, I personally believe that we will see valuations end even higher
I’m aiming to hit 4,000 total points this week while also pushing on other venues like Perpl (see my recent post). With the trading competition ending soon, I’m expecting it to take me over the threshold.
