How much money does Elon Musk actually have? This number really fascinates me and also seems unbelievable. When you do the math, his wealth in 2024 has reached just over $429 billion, placing him at the top among the richest people in the world. But that’s not the most interesting part.

What’s truly remarkable is how quickly his money multiplies. Musk earns about $3,700 per second — for most of us, that’s a monthly salary. Breaking it down per minute, we’re talking about $222,000. Per hour, it’s approximately $13 million. So yes, in less than two hours, he could buy a private jet.

Even more astonishing is looking at it over weeks. In seven days, Musk adds around $2.2 billion. That’s roughly the value of a major Hollywood film production. When you realize this — he earns in a week what would take others centuries to save.

Daily, it amounts to $320 million, which is the budget of smaller countries. All of this is mainly possible thanks to Tesla’s stock performance, which is his main asset. Add SpaceX and his projects in artificial intelligence and the space industry, and you get an idea of why his wealth is increasing at such a pace.

It’s math that’s hard to grasp. You simply can’t imagine what it means to earn more money per second than the average person earns in a month.
