# A Case That's Been Bothering Me
There's a case I've been finding really bizarre and wanted to share with everyone. Sylwester Suszek, the founder of Polish crypto exchange BitBay, suddenly disappeared in March 2022 at just 34 years old. This guy was called the "Bitcoin King" in the circle, and then one day he vanished behind a gas station.
The most outrageous part? The surveillance camera happened to malfunction that day. Police searched for a long time but couldn't find him. However, Suszek's sister Nicole didn't give up—she continued investigating on her own. Later, she discovered that his phone actually logged online four days after he disappeared, and it was moving along the highway corridor. What does that tell you?
Nicole received some very strange messages. One recording sounded like Sylwester's voice, but it felt off, like it had been electronically processed. The voice said he needed help and asked Nicole to get Bitcoin worth 12 million Polish zloty, then transfer it to an address in an email. The recording also included a text message: "This is not a joke. There will be photos of a corpse in one week." His sister didn't transfer the money.
More recordings came after that, all with threatening content, even mentioning dismemberment. Nicole is still continuing to search for answers, but she herself is now facing threats. This case remains unsolved to this day. It's really hard to imagine what Suszek's actual fate has been.
