just reading about this frank degods situation and honestly it's wild. so the guy steps down as CEO in may after 3 years running the project, posts this whole thing about handing over the reins and letting the team cook. then literally days later, 16 of his NFTs get dumped on magic eden for 108 SOL. like... what?
the team says it's a hack, his laptop got compromised or whatever. but everyone's in the replies asking the same question - why would a hacker only steal the degods and not touch anything else? that's what got me thinking too. the timing is just too convenient, right? frank degods steps away, suddenly there's this emergency NFT sale. some people are saying maybe he wanted to cash out before things got worse.
and things ARE bad for degods honestly. these NFTs used to hit $37k, now they're sitting around $1k. the whole project's been messy - migrated to ethereum, came back to solana, lost hype. so i get why people are skeptical. but like, there's no actual proof he did it himself. frank keeps saying he got hacked, and we don't have evidence otherwise.
whatever happened, it just adds more chaos to an already struggling project. investors must be stressed watching this play out. makes you wonder if degods can actually recover from all this or if it's just done.
