Billionaire Laffont Prefers Space Over Bitcoin, Cites Market Saturation on June 23

BTC-2,45%
According to CNBC's Squawk Box on June 23, billionaire investor Philippe Laffont from Coatue Management expressed concerns about Bitcoin's future and said he would rather bet on space and artificial intelligence companies. Laffont argued that Bitcoin originally filled a market gap when public listings were scarce, but that gap is now being filled by new IPOs in space and AI, as well as stablecoins. SpaceX, which completed its IPO on June 12 at $135 per share raising about $75 billion, holds 18,712 BTC valued at $1.29 billion, making it the eighth-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder.
